Philippines, please tell me
your history, abused yet steady
what must be achieved... sovereignty?
from the influence of foreign dependency

Clinging to chances in order to survive
heroes of old days, can never be revived
yet what they pursue, we can never forget
the days of freedom, is what we now get

In the time of slavery, near surrender
a dreadful era, to harsh to remember
experience slavery, in the storm of the invader
poor native land, abused by the weather

But just like all storms, they come and we'll pass together
Philippines so weak, sleeping in tender
those dreams so big, built to sunder
Philippines,sweet dreams, your days are now better
